HILLSBORO, Kan. - After a tough non-conference tournament to open up the 2010 season the Tabor College volleyball team returned home for its KCAC and season home opener Wednesday night in Hillsboro, Kan. The Bluejays fell to Friends University in three games 18-25, 19-25, 20-25.

HILLSBORO, Kan. - A tough non-conference tournament to open up the season has always been a staple of Head Volleyball Coach Amy Ratzlaff and this year was no exception as the KCAC preseason favorite Tabor College volleyball team took on some of the nation's best teams this past weekend at the Bellevue College tournament in Bellevue, Neb.

WICHITA, KS - KCAC Commissioner, Dr. Scott Crawford, announced Jordan Crosson of Tabor College today as the 2009-2010 KCAC Champion of Character Female Student-Athlete of the Year. Crosson, a junior volleyball player at Tabor during the 2009-2010 school year, is the first recipient of this new award established by the conference.

HILLSBORO, Kan. - Tabor College Head Volleyball Coach Amy Ratzlaff  has been named the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference's 2010 Dr. LeRoy Walker Champions of Character recipient.


The award is named after Dr. Walker, President emeritus of the United States Olympic Committee who served as president through the 1996 Atlanta Summer Games. Dr. Walker is a graduate of Benedict College (S.C.) and a former president of the NAIA.

HILLSBORO, Kan. - Moundridge High School seniors Hollister Wolf (Moundridge, Kan.) and Jessie Vogts (Moundridge, Kan.) have signed letters of intent to play volleyball next season for the 2009 KCAC conference champion Tabor College Bluejays.


Wolf, a 5-4 setter, and Vogts, a 6-0 outside hitter, helped lead the Wildcats to a 36-9 record, a second place finish in the Canton tournament, a share of the Heart of America league title, the sub-state tournament title, and the 2009 Class 2A State title.
