HILLSBORO, Kan. - Tabor College men's soccer team gave-up a late goal in the final minutes of regulation before falling to the University of Sioux Falls 2-1, in its season and home opener Friday afternoon at Joel H. Wiens Stadium.


After a scoreless first half, despite chances by both teams, Sioux Falls got on the board first as the Cougars goal at the 68 minute mark gave them 1-0 lead.

HILLSBORO, Kan. - First Baptist Academy graduate Aaron Garza (San Antonio, Texas) has signed a letter of intent to play soccer next season at Tabor College.


Garza, 5-10, 148-pound left back, was a three-year varsity player and two year captain while helping lead the Eagles to back-back regional titles, a state runner-up finish, and a state title in 2008.

HILLSBORO, Kan. - Citrus Hill High School graduate Aram Najar (Perris, Calif.) has signed a letter of intent to play soccer next season at Tabor College.


Najar, a 5-10, 155-pound center midfielder, was a two-time First Team All-Mountain Pass league performer while serving as team captain during his junior and senior seasons for the Hawks.

HILLSBORO, Kan. - Bakersfield Christian High School senior Collin Norville (Bakersfield, Kan.) has signed a letter of intent to play soccer next season for the Bluejays.


Norville, a 6-4, 195-pound goalkeeper, and two-time Team MVP earned First Team All-League and Defensive Player of the Year honors during this past season for the Eagles.

Derek Mendenhall signs his letter of intent to play soccer at Tabor College

HILLSBORO, Kan. - Neosho County Community College transfer Derek Mendenhall (Derby, Kan.) has signed a letter of intent to play soccer next season at Tabor College.


Mendenhall, a 5-6, 150-pound midfielder, helped lead Neosho County Community College to back-to-back Region Six Tournament quarterfinal appearances including a 6-4-1 record in 2009.
