
Hillsboro, Kan. - Freshman Jacob Heil (Wichita, Kan.) and junior Justin Ball (Welda, Kan.) were the only two cross country runners to compete this past weekend at the Jock's Nitch Invitational at Jones Park hosted by Emporia State University.
"This was a very successful meet for us, even if that's not overtly evident in the results," said Head Coach Dan Swaney. "Coming into Emporia, our home meet had been the best race we'd had so far. But the Emporia course is tougher than ours and it was a very windy day on top of that,yet nearly everyone ran close to or faster than they did at our home meet."
Hillsboro, Kan. - The Tabor College Men's Cross Country Team finished 12th out of 13 teams this past weekend at the Tabor College Invitational, held at Cottonwood Point at the Marion Reservoir.
"The meet went pretty well," said Head Coach Dan Swaney. "The rain didn't seem to affect the course too bad with just a few puddles on the men's outer loop. The ground overall was probably a little softer and therefore slower than usual, but it was in good shape.

Hillsboro, Kan. -Tabor College Vice President of Athletics Rusty Allen announced that Daniel Swaney has been named the new head men's and women's cross country coach for the Bluejays.
"We are very excited to have Dan Swaney join us in the athletic department," said Allen. "Coach Swaney brings extensive experience as a distance runner and a college cross country and track coach. He has proven ability as a recruiter.

Hillsboro, Kan. - The Tabor College Men's Cross Country Team placed sixth out of nine teams at the KCAC Conference Tournament race Saturday, hosted by Bethany College, in Lindsborg, Kan.
"I am really proud of how the guys performed today," said Head Coach Karol Hunt. "I could not ask any more of them."

Hillsboro, Kan. - The Tabor College Men's Cross Country Team finished 16th out of 20 teams at Saturday's Southwestern College /NAIA Mid-States Classic in Winfield, Kan.
‘We had a great day of racing," said Head Coach Karol Hunt. "The Mid-States meet is highly competitive and it creates a good environment for season best and personal record times.
"Today was our last race prior to conference," Hunt added. "We passed the preparation test, setting four personal records on one day is a real tribute to the efforts of the runners."
