HILLSBORO, Kan. - Tabor College junior Damon Dechant has been named a unanimous First Team All-KCAC selection by the basketball coaches of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference.


A dominant post player who led the Bluejays in scoring with 15.1 points per game, Dechant (Kit Carson, Colo.) was one of three Tabor College players named to All-KCAC Teams.

HILLSBORO, Kan. - The Tabor College Men's Basketball Team fell to KCAC regular season Champion Friends University, 82-66, Saturday night in Wichita, Kan. to close out regular season play.


The Bluejays, who finished in eighth place in the regular season, will play host to ninth-seeded Bethel College at 7 p.m. Monday Feb. 22, in the KCAC Conference Tournament.

HILLSBORO, Kan. - With the regular season winding down and teams jockeying for playoff tournament position, the Tabor College Men's Basketball team took a hit Thursday night, falling to the visiting Spires of the University of St. Mary 68-57.


A slow start offensively put the Bluejays down by double-digits early as the Spires knocked down seven first half three's to take a 37-23, lead into the break. Tabor shot just 19 percent in the half while the Spires hit on 40 percent of their shots.

HILLSBORO, Kan. - Tabor College point guard Lawson Kingsley (Sedgwick, Kan.) has been named KCAC Player of the Week for helping lead the Bluejays to wins over third place Bethany College and fourth place Southwestern College.


Kingsley, a freshman, racked-up 42 points with an average of 21 points per-game over the two-game stretch. He shot a remarkable 68 percent from the field and 61.5 percent from behind the arc, knocking down eight of 13 shots from the three point line.

HILLSBORO, Kan. -The young Tabor College Men's Basketball team showed just how much it has matured this season as the host Bluejays defeated fourth place Southwestern College on Saturday, 80-67, in front of a packed house on Church Spirit Night.


The win, Tabor's second in a row after defeating third place Bethany College on Thursday, moves the Bluejays into a tie for fifth place in the KCAC standings heading into the final week of conference play.
