As a permanent reminder and a loving tribute, the Marcus Manny memorial garden will be dedicated on Saturday, Sept. 25. Manny, 23, was a Tabor College senior and football player when he was tragically killed in an automobile accident on Feb. 22, 2009 near Tonkawa, Okla. He was the son of Roland and Patricia Miranda.

HILLSBORO, Kan. - Miami Southridge High School graduate Darren Handy Jr. (Miami, Fla.) has signed a letter of intent to play football next season at Tabor College.


Handy, a 5-9, 240-pound right guard and defensive end, helped lead the Spartans to the district title this past season with a record of 10-1. He will be looked at to help provide depth on both sides of the ball this season for the Bluejays.

HILLSBORO, Kan. - Butler County Community College transfer Sean Rothwell (Wichita, Kan.) has signed a letter of intent to play football next season at Tabor College.


Rothwell, a 5-10, 180-pound kicker, will be looked at to make an immediate impact to the Bluejays kicking game this season.

HILLSBORO, Kan. - Golden West College transfer Darien McCollins (Richmond, Calif.) has signed a letter of intent to play football next season at Tabor College.


McCollins, a 6-1, 280-pound defensive tackle, will be looked at to make a major impact on the defensive line next season for the Bluejays.

HILLSBORO, Kan. - Centennial High School graduate Timothy William King Jr. (Bakersfield, Calif.) has signed a letter of intent to play football next season at Tabor College.


King, a 5-11, 255-pound defensive lineman and fullback, was a three-year starter and two-year captain for the Golden Hawks where he earned All-League and All-Area honors as a defensive lineman.
