HILLSBORO, Kan. - Sterling College transfer Mike Jaderston (Sterling, Kan.) has signed a letter of intent to play tennis next season at Tabor College.


During his career at Sterling High School Jaderston was a two-time state qualifier for the Black Bears, where he placed tenth during his junior season and fifth during his senior season.

HILLSBORO, Kan. - Maize High School graduate Kelyn Vix (Maize, Kan.) has signed a letter of intent to play tennis next season for Tabor College.


Vix, a class 6A state qualifier helped lead the Eagles to a sixth place finish at the Kansas State Tennis Tournament this past season. He has also excelled in the classroom as a member of the National Honor Society and the High Honors at Maize High School.

HILLSBORO, Kan. - Tabor College freshman tennis player David Simmet (Mainz, Germany) has been named First Team All-Conference by the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference as he helped lead the Bluejays to a second place finish in the KCAC regular season standings.

 

As a freshman Simmet played both number one singles, and number one doubles along side fellow freshman Cory Sims (Wichita, Kan.) all season long for the Bluejays.

HILLSBORO, Kan. - Who says youth is such a bad thing? Not the Tabor College Men's Tennis team which finished second in KCAC play despite a 10 man roster made-up of eight freshmen and just two seniors.


The youthful Bluejays ended KCAC play with a record of 5-2 after Tabor's season finale 5-4 victory over arch rival Bethel College on Saturday. Both the Bluejays and the Threshers finished tied in conference standings, but it was Tabor's victory that broke the tie-breaker.

HILLSBORO, Kan. - Valley Center High School senior Tyler Dort (Valley Center, Kan.) has signed a letter of intent to play tennis next season for Tabor College.
   
Dort, a 5-8 singles player, will look to compete for a spot as a true freshman and make a positive impact to the Bluejays tennis team both on and off the court.
