Hillsboro, Kan. - The Tabor College Women's Basketball Team earned a split this past weekend in the Tabor College Classic. The Lady Jays fell to NAIA Division I opponent Benedictine College, 70-60, Friday before rolling Ecclesia College, 87-46, Saturday.


The tournament marked the first games for the Lady Jays since they last played on Saturday Dec. 13, at Friends University - a break of over 19 days.

Hillsboro, Kan. - Weatherford (Okla.) High School senior Mallory Flaming has signed a letter of intent to play basketball next season for the Lady Jays.


Flaming, a 5-foot-11 guard / forward and three-year starter, helped lead the Eagles to three District and Regional Championships as well as the 2006-2007 State Championship as the Eagles went a perfect 27-0 on the season.

Hillsboro, Kan. - Winning on the road within the conference is a tough task in itself, but winning on the road in the conference with a young team is even tougher as the young Lady Jays fell to nationally-ranked Kansas Wesleyan University and Friends University this past week.


The Lady Jays fell to 1-3 in the KCAC and 2-9 overall after playing three out of their first four conference games on the road as they head into the Christmas break.

HILLSBORO, Kan. - The Tabor College women's basketball team opened KCAC play on the road with a bang as it defeated McPherson College 56-43 Thursday night, Dec. 4.


But the women fell, 66-58, at home against Southwestern College on Saturday, Dec. 6.


Against Southwestern the Lady Jays came out firing on all cylinders, and controlled the first half, as they took a seven point lead into halftime 40-33. The Lady Moundbuilders would turn the tables in the second half outscoring the Lady Jays 33-18 in route to the victory.

Hillsboro, Kan. - The Tabor College Women's Basketball Team earned its first victory of the season over the weekend at the Warrior Classic at Sterling College.


On Friday the Lady Jays defeated St. Gregory's College, 59-51, in a back-and-fourth battle. After a first half deficit that found the Tabor trailing, 27-24, the Lady Jays came out firing, outscoring St. Gregory's, 35-24, in the second half.
