Derek Mendenhall signs his letter of intent to play soccer at Tabor College

HILLSBORO, Kan. - Neosho County Community College transfer Derek Mendenhall (Derby, Kan.) has signed a letter of intent to play soccer next season at Tabor College.


Mendenhall, a 5-6, 150-pound midfielder, helped lead Neosho County Community College to back-to-back Region Six Tournament quarterfinal appearances including a 6-4-1 record in 2009.

HILLSBORO, Kan. - Thomas More Prep-Marian High School senior Nate Lawson (Hays, Kan.) has signed a letter of intent to play soccer next season for Tabor College.


Lawson, a center and outside back, was a three-year captain for the Monarchs leading them to the Regional title with a 12-7 record, which included nine shutouts.

Clark, a 6-3, 185-pound goalkeeper, will be looked at to provide an immediate impact in goal next season for the Bluejays.

Hillsboro, Kan. - The 2009 Tabor College Men's Soccer season came to a close Friday night in Wichita, Kan. as the fifth seeded Bluejays fell to fourth seeded Friends University 5-0, in the quarterfinals of the KCAC Men's Soccer Tournament.


"I was proud of the effort we made in the second half to try and get back in the match," said Head Coach Grant Brubacher. "We obviously we not ready to play at the start and could not recover quickly enough."

Hillsboro, Kan. - Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference honored four Bluejay soccer players for their efforts this season, as they were named to the All-KCAC Teams.


For the second consecutive year, sophomore Liam Mclean (Newcastle, England) took home top honors, as he was named First Team All-Conference.
