The Purpose of the Bluejay Backers

At Tabor College our approach to caring for our student-athletes is distinct: We believe they deserve the very best. However, as the costs of both higher education and athletic competition continue to rise, so too does the challenge to compete at the championship level. Private contributions become increasingly important to supplement the rising costs of equipment, supplies, travel, and facility upgrades. The Bluejay Backers is committed to helping the Tabor College Athletic Department meet these challenges by providing a foundation of success that can be relied upon for decades to come.

The purpose of the Bluejay Backers is to support the Tabor College Athletic Department in its mission to develop student-athletes for a life of learning, work, and service for Christ and His kingdom. We strive to provide student athletes an environment that encourages, supports, and promotes academic, athletic, and personal achievement. It is our vision that this focus on the student-athlete's total collegiate experience will result in Tabor College being the institution of choice for students seeking a life-transforming, academically excellent, globally relevant, and decidedly Christian education.

Your contribution to the Bluejay Backers is an investment in the tradition of excellence that is Tabor College Athletics. The Bluejay Backers is dedicated to the continued development and enhancement of TC's athletic programs-and your membership demonstrates your commitment to partnering with TC Athletics in providing our student-athletes with the very best that intercollegiate athletics has to offer. Bluejay Backers are alumni, businesses, friends, and parents. These supporters form a network that is determined to assist TC in meeting the challenges of the future while ensuring that our tradition of excellence continues to grow.

Gifts to the Bluejay Backers are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law and go to the General Athletic Fund. The Bluejay Backers operates in conjunction with TC's Advancement office and is under the direct supervision of the Vice President of Athletics.
