During her collegiate playing career at Cowley County Unruh
was named a two-time NFCA
All-American, a two-time NJCAA
All-American, and a two-time First
Team All-Jayhawk East and First Team All-Region VI performer as both an
infielder and outfielder during the 1997 and 1998 seasons.
After a successful career at Cowley County, Unruh transferred
to Fort Hays State University where she set eight offensive records for the
Tigers while earning back-to-back First Team All-RMAC honors in 1999 and 2000.
