Courtney Erwin signs her letter of intent to play volleyball at Tabor College

HILLSBORO, Kan. - Canyon High School senior Courtney Erwin (Canyon, Texas) has signed a letter of intent to play volleyball next season for the Tabor College Bluejays.


Erwin, a 5'11 middle blocker and right side hitter, earned second team All-District honors on her way to being selected to the Triple Crown all-star team. During her career for the Eagles she was also named to the Seminole and Coca-Cola Classic all-tournament teams.


Erwin has also enjoyed success in the classroom earning academic all-state honors in both volleyball and basketball while serving as a member of the National Honor Society. She has also been the recipient of the Superintendent Scholar award (08'-10'), the ASLHS, and the Golden Eagle Award.


"Courtney is the type of player that will make an impact in whatever she does," said Head Volleyball Coach Amy Ratzlaff. "Her leadership and commitment to excellence will not only affect our team but our campus as well. Courtney has dedicated herself to achieving her goals and I am excited to see what's next on her list. I know Coach Hammitt has prepared her well for the college game and I anticipate her athletic abilities to shine at the college level."


Courtney is the daughter of Scott and Keyra Erwin.
