HILLSBORO, Kan. -
Coming off a scoreless draw in its season opener the Tabor College women's
soccer team fell to the University of Sioux Falls in its home opener 6-0 Friday
afternoon at Joel H. Wiens Stadium.
The Cougars used a 4 goal first half including 3 goals in
just over a minute span to take command of the match heading into the break.
In the second half the Lady Jays would continue to battle
but struggled to get their offense going as Sioux Falls tallied 2 more goals in
the half en route to the victory.
Freshman Chelsea Brown (Sullivan, Mo.) recorded 11 for the
Lady Jays as Tabor was out-shot 29-8 for the match.
Tabor (0-1-1) will travel to Fayette, Mo. take on Central
Methodist University Friday Sept. 10, at 5 p.m.
