HILLSBORO, Kan. - Dana College transfer Lacie Ward (Harper, Kan.) has signed a letter of intent to play basketball next season at Tabor College.

Ward, a 5-7 guard, will be looked at to make an immediate impact and provide valuable experience to the Lady Jays backcourt this season.

Prior to Dana College Ward spent two seasons at Coffeyville Community College where she led the Ravens in scoring and rebounding with 13.3 points and 6.1 rebounds per-game during her sophomore season. For her efforts she received First Team All-KJCCC and First Team All-NJCAA Region VI honors for the Ravens.

"Lacie brings a tremendous amount of experience to our young team," said Head Women's Basketball Coach Shawn Winter. "She will be the lone senior on our team this season and is excited about using her previous playing experience to provide positive and proven leadership to a young squad.

"She is an extremely talented offensive player who can make very good things happen both with and without the ball. "We expect her to have a major impact on our team and potentially in our conference as well."
