HILLSBORO, Kan. - Miami Southridge High School graduate Darren Handy Jr. (Miami, Fla.) has signed a letter of intent to play football next season at Tabor College.

Handy, a 5-9, 240-pound right guard and defensive end, helped lead the Spartans to the district title this past season with a record of 10-1. He will be looked at to help provide depth on both sides of the ball this season for the Bluejays.

"We are very excited to have Darren in our program," said Head Football Coach Mike Gardner. "He is an athletic lineman who will compete for playing time right away. He also comes from a storied high school program and knows how to win."

Darren is the son of Darren Sr. and Yolanda Handy.
