HILLSBORO, Kan. - Hesston College transfer Jake Landers (Overland Park, Kan.) has signed a letter of intent to play baseball next season at Tabor College.

Landers, a  5-11, 170-pound shortstop, earned Defensive Player of the Year honors as he batted .265 with 27 RBI's and 26 runs scored while starting every game for the Larks.

He also help Hesston College set new team records in home runs, doubles, and games won in a single season with 22.

"Jake is a great athlete that can play all three infield positions," said Head Baseball Coach Mark Standiford. "He will be a welcome addition to our baseball team and I'm glad he decided to attend Tabor this fall."

Jake is the grandson of Marilyn Landers-Lowell.
