HILLSBORO, Kan. - Newton High School graduate Brandon Palmer (Newton, Kan.) has signed a letter of intent to play baseball next season at Tabor College.

Palmer, 5-11, 190-pound first baseman and pitcher, will be looked at to help add depth at first base and the Bluejays pitching rotation next season.

"Brandon will compete for time at first base and on the mound next season," said Head Baseball Coach Mark Standiford. "He will need to add weight and strength this fall but if he does, he will have a good chance of competing for a job this spring."

Brandon is the son of Robert and Cheryl Palmer.
