HILLSBORO, Kan. - Centennial High School graduate Timothy William King Jr. (Bakersfield, Calif.) has signed a letter of intent to play football next season at Tabor College.

King, a 5-11, 255-pound defensive lineman and fullback, was a three-year starter and two-year captain for the Golden Hawks where he earned All-League and All-Area honors as a defensive lineman.

During his career at Centennial High School King was also named Jockey Club Athlete of the Month, Golden Hawk of the Year, and Co-Defensive Player of the Year, while helping lead the Golden Hawks to the Division I Valley Championship. He was also selected to the Hometown All-Star Team, and will be looked at to help provide depth to the Bluejays defensive line next season.

"Tim will continue to develop and be one of those players we see grow with time," said Head Football Coach Mike Gardner. "He not only has great tools to work with but has great character as well and we are blessed to have him here at Tabor."

Timothy is the son of Timothy Sr. and Mona King.
