HILLSBORO, Kan. - Wichita Trinity Academy graduate Alex Cole (Wichita, Kan.) has signed a letter of intent to play baseball next season at Tabor College.

Cole, a 6-0, 165-pound pitcher, earned Second Team Class 4A honors while being named the 2009 Most Inspirational Player.

This past season at Trinity Academy Cole went 8-2, as a starter while helping lead his team to the Central Plains League title with a record of 14-3 overall. He will be looked at to help bolster the Bluejays pitching staff next season.

"Alex will add instant depth to our pitching staff," said Head Baseball Coach Mark Standiford. "He is a true pitcher that works both sides of the plate and is able to throw three pitches for a strike. He will fight for a starting job next season, and I look forward to his arrival on campus this fall."

Alex is the son of Larry and Patti Cole.
