HILLSBORO, Kan. - Cerritos Junior College transfer Don Emanuel Nelson Jr. (Los Angeles, Calif.) has signed a letter of intent to play football next season at Tabor College.

Nelson, a 6-1, 250-pound fullback, H-back, and tight end, will be looked at to help strengthen the Bluejays running game next season.

During his career at Dorsey High School, Nelson earned Second Team All-City honors while helping lead the Dons to the league title in 2006.

"Don is a very skilled and physical player whose ability to catch the ball makes us better," said Head Football Coach Mike Gardner. "He will push everyone around him to help make us a complete backfield."

Don is the son of Don Sr. and Fay Thompson.
