HILLSBORO, Kan. - Highland Community College transfer Adam McCormick (Pittsburg, Kan.) has signed a letter of intent to play baseball next season at Tabor College.

McCormick, a 5-10, 200-pound first baseman and third baseman, will be looked at to make and immediate impact and provide depth at multiple infield positions next seasons for the Bluejays.

During his high school career at St. Mary's Colgan, McCormick helped lead the Panthers to four straight Class 2-1A Kansas State Championships while being selected to play in the KABC All-Star Game. For his efforts he earned Honorable Mention All-State and All-CNC League honors in 2007, and First Team All-State, and Second Team All-CNC and All-Area honors in 2008.

"Adam hit .365 at Highland Community College and will bring immediate help to our offense," said Head Baseball Coach Mark Standiford. "He has the ability to play both corners as well as second base which will be a huge asset for us next season."

Adam is the son of Jon and Karen McCormick.
