HILLSBORO, Kan. - Napa Valley College transfer Steve Traumann (Forestville, Calif.) has signed a letter of intent to play baseball next season for Tabor College.

Traumann, a 6-4, 235-pound pitcher, led the Bay Valley Conference in saves while earning All-League Honorable Mention honors this past season. He will be looked at to make an immediate impact to the Bluejays pitching staff next season.

During his career at El Molino High School Traumann earned Honorable Mention All-Empire League honors during his junior season as he went 7-1, with 3.70 ERA, and Second Team All-Empire League honors his senior season as he went 9-1 with a 2.01 ERA. He also helped lead the Lions to the North Coast Section title for the first time in school history.

"Steve was the closer at Napa Valley College," said Head Baseball Coach Mark Standiford. "We are looking for him to come in and fill that role here a Tabor. He poses an outstanding fastball and a dominate presence on the mound. We are very excited he has decided to attend Tabor College and I look forward to working with him this fall."

Steve is the son of Rick and Jennifer Traumann.
