HILLSBORO, Kan. - Allen County Community College transfer Spencer Putman (Wichita, Kan.) has signed a letter of intent to play baseball next season for Tabor College.

Putman, a 5-9 200-pound catcher and third baseman, helped lead the Red Devils to back-to-back regional tournament appearances during his two year career. He will be looked at to help provide depth behind the plate next season for the Bluejays.

During his career at Wichita Northwest High School Putman earned First Team All-City and All-Metro honors. He also excelled in the classroom as a member of the honor roll while being selected as a First Team All-Academic performer.

"Spencer brings experience behind the plate and will play a big part in the handling of our pitching staff," said Head Baseball Coach Mark Standiford. "He will also help bring and offensive presents to our line-up as well."

Spencer is the son of Randy and Kathy Putman.
