HILLSBORO, Kan. -
University of New Mexico Highlands transfer Whitney Polosky (Tijeras, N.M.) has
signed a letter of intent to play basketball next season for the Lady Jays.
Polosky, a 5-9 guard and runner up Freshman of the Year in
the RMAC West, started 24 games for the Cowgirls, where she averaged 9.3 points
and 3.7 rebounds per-game in 30 minutes of play.
She also led the Cowgirls in scoring during conference play
at 10.4 points per-game, while scoring 20 plus points four times during her
first collegiate season of play.
"Whitney comes to Tabor after a very successful
freshman season at the University of New Mexico Highlands," said Head Women's
Basketball Coach Shawn Winter. "Whitney is a very talented and versatile
basketball player who will have a major impact on our basketball team. She can
score the basketball in a variety of ways and possesses a very high basketball
I.Q. Tabor is fortunate to have her join our program for the next three
years!"
Whitney is the daughter of Mark and Waynette Polosky.
