HILLSBORO, Kan. -
University of New Mexico Highlands transfer Katlyn Mary (Joshua, Texas) has
signed a letter of intent to play basketball next season at Tabor College.
Mary, a 5-7 shooting guard, started six games this past
season for the Cowgirls, where she averaged 5.7 points per game while shooting
33 percent from behind the arc in 15 minutes of play.
During her career at Joshua High School Mary averaged 15
points per-game while shooting 55 percent from the field, 89 percent from the
free-throw line, and 46 percent from behind the arc. She also set the single
game school record her for most threes made in one game with seven.
"We are very fortunate to have Katlyn joining our
basketball family at Tabor," said Head Women's Basketball Coach Shawn Winter. "Katlyn
is a very skilled shooting guard that will be a real scoring threat from
the perimeter in the KCAC. She is a great young woman and we are excited to
have her with us for the next three years."
Katlyn is the daughter of Steve and Kerry Cummins.
