HILLSBORO, Kan. -
Edmond North High School senior Dylan Crawford (Edmond, Okla.) has signed a
letter of intent to compete in both track and field and cross country next
season for Tabor College.
In track and field, Crawford competed in the one mile, two
mile and the 4x800 meter relay team and finished his career as a state
finalist in the two mile while helping lead the Huskies 4x800 meter relay team
to a conference title, and a fifth place finish at the state track meet.
"Dylan will really help the men's track team in the
mid-distance races and especially in the 4x800 relay," said Head Track and
Field Coach Dave Kroeker. "He is a great student and will bring a positive
impact to our team and campus."
In cross country, Crawford was a three time
All-Conference, and two time First Team All-Edmond
performer, earning All-Regional and All-State honors during the 2009
season.
He also won six of 10 meets in 2009 while helping lead the
Huskies to the conference and regional titles, and was runner-up in
the state cross country meet.
Head Cross Country Coach Dan Swaney said, "I'm very excited
to have Dylan be a part of our men's program next year. He will bring a
dedicated work ethic and provide valuable depth to the team."
Dylan has also excelled in the classroom as a member of the
National Honor Society while earning Academic All-State honors in band choir
and cross country. He was also the recipient of the Edmond North High School "E"
award in 2008, and the Academic Bar award in 2009.
