HILLSBORO, Kan. -
The Tabor College Men's Track and Field Team won four events and placed second
this past Saturday at the ACCK Meet held on the campus of Sterling College, in
Sterling, Kan.
Tabor finished in a tie for second place out of five teams
in a field that was made up of schools affiliated with the Associated Colleges
of Central Kansas.
Junior Justin Ball (Welda, Kan.) won the 400 meters with a
time of 50.01, while teammate senior Brent Nelsen (Peyton, Colo.) finished in
second place with a time of 51.35.
Other event winners include junior Spencer Boyes (Puyallup,
Wash.) in the 5000 and 10,000 meters with times of 18:08.24, and 36:45.13
respectively.
Junior Aaron Munsch (Great Bend, Kan.) won the shot put with
a throw of 12.08 meters, while freshman teammate Michael Klaassen (Hillsboro,
Kan.) finished in second place with a throw of 12.08 meters.
Sophomore David Quarker (Atmore, Ala.) placed second in the
hammer-throw reaching a distance of 44.88 meters while fellow teammate senior
Tristan Burrow (Great Bend, Kan.) finished in third place with a throw of 43.19
meters.
The Tabor College Men's Track and Field team will return
home to compete at the Tabor College Invitational Wednesday, April 14th,
at Joel H. Wiens Stadium on the campus of Tabor College
