HILLSBORO, Kan. - Thomas More Prep-Marian High School senior Nate Lawson (Hays, Kan.) has signed a letter of intent to play soccer next season for Tabor College.

Lawson, a center and outside back, was a three-year captain for the Monarchs leading them to the Regional title with a 12-7 record, which included nine shutouts.

During his career at Thomas More Prep Marian High School, Lawson earned second Team All-Regional honors and Honorable Mention All-State honors. He will be looked at to provide depth to the Bluejays defense next season.

"Nate is a young man who his previous coaches rave about," said Head Men's Soccer Coach Grant Brubacher. "His work ethic and passion for the game is truly remarkable. He will compete for playing time and help us solidify our back line. I am excited about his decision to attend Tabor College and I look forward to his arrival this fall."

Nate is the son of Shawn and Tammy Lawson.
