HILLSBORO, Kan - Granite Hills High School senior Maddy Simpson (Apple Valley, Calif.) has signed a letter of intent to play softball in 2011 for Tabor College.

Simpson, a 5-4 catcher who also plays third base and outfielder, will be looked at to provide depth and flexibility at multiple positions next season for the Bluejays.

While at Granite Hills High School, Simpson was a four year letter winner and was named the Most Outstanding Defensive player, while helping lead the Cougars to the CIF playoffs for the first time in school history.

"Maddy is going to be a big help to us next season," said Head Softball Coach John Bassett. "She will give us some flexibility, as she can catch and move to the outfield. We are looking forward to seeing her on campus next season."

Madalyn is the daughter of Bill and Nina Kuhlmann.
