HILLSBORO, Kan. - Ellinwood High School senior Alex Pike (Ellinwood, Kan.) has signed a letter of intent to play softball next season for Tabor College.

Pike, a 5-3 catcher, earned Honorable Mention All-Conference honors while helping lead Ellinwood High School to the second round of the Regional Tournament in 2009. She will be looked at to provide depth at multiple positions next season for the Bluejays.

Pike has also excelled in the classroom, as treasurer of the National Honor Society, the recipient of the Presidential Award, and a member of the Eggheads. She has also excelled in band, earning a I rating at the league and regional band festival for her solo.

"I'm thrilled that Alexandria has signed with Tabor," said Head Softball Coach John Bassett. "She will give us much more flexibility with our infield next season.She works hard and will be a benefit to the entire Tabor community."

Pike is the daughter of Stacy and Tonya Pike.
