NORTH NEWTON, Kan.
-
The Tabor College Men's Basketball Team ended its five game losing streak in arguably
its most impressive performance of the season dominating Bethel College both offensively
and defensively 77-42, Thursday night in North Newton, Kan.
The
win was also bittersweet for the Bluejays as they avenged an earlier season
loss at the hands of the Threshers back in December.
Tabor
started out fast and never looked back as the Bluejays built an early lead and
extended their lead to 13 heading into halftime leading 32-19.
In
the second half the Bluejays offense and defense continued to take flight as
Tabor outscored Bethel 45-23, in the second half en route to their largest
margin of victory of the year.
All
13 Bluejays who suited up scored at least two points in the victory led by
junior Damon Dechant (Kit Carson, Colo.) with 13 points while freshman Michael
Janzen added 10 points.
Tabor
(4-7 KCAC, 7-13 Overall) will travel to take on McPherson College, Saturday,
Jan 30, at 7 p.m. in McPherson, Kan.
