Walsh High School senior Hagen Turner (Walsh, Colo.) has signed a letter of
intent to compete in track and field next season for the Tabor College
Bluejays.
Turner,
a 6-0, middle distance and distance runner, will be looked at to add depth in
multiple distance and relay races next season for the Bluejays.
While
at Walsh High School Turner set the school record in the 800 meters and was a
member of the record-setting mile and two mile relay teams. He also was a
three-time state qualifier in the 800 meters and two mile relay races, as well
as two-time state qualifier in the two mile relay.
Turner
has also excelled in the classroom as he served as President of the National
Honor Society, was listed on the Principal's Honor Roll, and a was an
CHSAA Academic All-State First Team selection.
"Hagen
will be an excellent addition to our men's track team," said Head Track and
Field Coach Dave Kroeker. "He should help us in the 800 and two mile relay as
well as probably in the 1500 meters. He's also an excellent student and young
man and will be a positive addition to our campus."
