The Tabor College Women's Basketball Team defeated the visiting
McPherson Lady Bulldogs, 61-57, on Thursday, giving them their first
conference win of the season.
Tabor found
its offensive rhythm midway through the first half and shots began to
fall. The Lady Jays held a 13 point lead at 31-18 heading into the
break.
Both
teams continued to battle throughout the second half but Tabor executed
and made free throws down the stretch to hold on to the victory.
Senior Andrea Robinson (Tulsa, Okla,) led Tabor offensively with a game-high 21 points to go with six rebounds and five assists.
Freshman Tynan Honn (Hutchinson, Kan.) racked-up 17 points and senior Stephanie Silvas (Dexter, N.M.) added nine.
Sophomore Gina Hullet (Abilene, Kan.) and Robinson led the Lady Jays on the glass as they each grabbed six rebounds.
Tabor (1-2 KCAC, 2-8 Overall) will travel to take on Ottawa University Saturday Dec. 12, at 5 p.m. in Ottawa, Kan.
