Hillsboro, Kan. - Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference honored four Bluejay soccer players for their efforts this season, as they were named to the All-KCAC Teams.
For the second consecutive year, sophomore Liam Mclean (Newcastle, England) took home top honors, as he was named First Team All-Conference.
Regarded by the coaches as one of the
best midfielders in the conference, Mclean recorded five points on
the season as he tallied three assists and one goal for the Bluejays.
"Liam has been at the heart of our success over the last two seasons," said Head Coach Grant Brubacher. "His impact on the team goes well beyond what shows on a box score. His ability to help us defensively, offensively, and in the possession game makes him a great player. Liam is very deserving of this great recognition."

Coming off his junior season in which he was named Honorable Mention All-KCAC, senior Andy Adrian (Buhler, Kan.) capped off his senior season by being named Second Team All-KCAC. Adrian recorded 21 points on the season, good for 7th in the KCAC. He averaged 1.17 points per game, which ranked him 8th in the KCAC. Adrian tallied eight goals for the Bluejays, good for 8th in the KCAC, while also dishing out seven assist, which tied for 9th in the KCAC on the season.
"Andy has been our most consistent goal-scorer over the last two seasons," Brubacher said. "He was also able to significantly increase his assists from a year ago. His play in attack has been vital to our success, especially during conference play. Our conference has many excellent forwards and recognition on the second team is a great accomplishment. "

For the second consecutive year, sophomore Robert Masson (Dalgety Bay, Scotland) was named Honorable Mention All-KCAC. Masson recorded 20 points on the season, good for 6th in the KCAC. He averaged 1.43 points per game, which ranked him 6th in the KCAC. Masson tallied nine goals for the Bluejays, good for 6th in the KCAC, while dishing out two assists.
"Robby had a very unfortunate year after being injured in the second game of the season," Brubacher said. "This recognition shows his talent as he played hurt during conference play. Had he been healthy, I believe Robby could have pushed for first or second team recognition. As he has returned to better health, his contribution has continued to increase and I expect big things from him during post-season play. "

Junior defender Josh Reiswig (Wichita,
Kan.) also was named Honorable Mention All-KCAC. Reiswig, a three year starter
for the Bluejays, provided leadership and experience to the Bluejays
defense. His lone goal of the season was a game-winner in double-overtime as
the Bluejays defeated Central Christian by the score of 2-1.
‘Josh has worked hard this season to
improve our defensive play," Brubacher said. "He has been at the
heart of our defensive play all season. The games in which Josh plays well, our
defense has played well. He has started to show a passion for keeping the ball
out of the net and this recognition by the conference coaches shows his growth
as a player."
