Hillsboro,
Kan. - The Tabor College Men's Soccer Team returned home for the final week
of regular season play Wednesday night, falling to Kansas Wesleyan University by
the score of 6-2.
Kansas Wesleyan, which currently sits second in the KCAC
standings, shotto an early 4-0 lead, as the Coyotes scored all four goals in
the first 25 minutes.
Tabor cut the lead to 4-1 when the Bluejays netted their
first goal of the match off a penalty kick from freshman Luke Weems (London,
England), a score that would last through the half.
In the second half, Kansas Wesleyan would tack on two more
goals on its way to the 6-2 victory. Tabor would add a goal of its own in the
second half as freshman David Simmet (Mainz, Germany) scored off a pass from
Weems.
Tabor (4-4 KCAC, 7-9-1 Overall) will host Bethel College in
its regular season finally Saturday Oct. 31, at 8 p.m. at Joel H. Wiens
Stadium.
