Hillsboro, Kan. -
For the second straight game in a row, regulation and two overtime periods was
still not enough time to earn a victory, as the Tabor College Women's Soccer
Team and Sterling College wound up tied a 3-3 Saturday afternoon in Sterling,
Kan.
Senior Jessica Burden (Little Elm, Texas) was a one
person wrecking crew early on as she scored three goals in the first 13 minutes
of the match to give the Lady Jays the early 3-0 lead.
Sterling would answer back with a goal of its own
midway through the first half as Tabor went into the break with the 3-1 lead.
The Warriors would score again to cut the lead to one
at the beginning of the second half and tied the game at three apiece off an
own goal by Tabor with 13 minutes left in regulation.
Both teams would battle through two scoreless
10-minute overtime periods before ending in a draw.
Tabor (1-4-2 KCAC, 3-9-3 Overall) will return home to
host Kansas Wesleyan University Wednesday Oct. 28, at 5 p.m.
