Hillsboro,
Kan. -
The Tabor College Men's Soccer Team came up short Wednesday night in Wichita,
Kan., as the Bluejays fell to Friends University by the score of 2-1.
After
trailing 2-0 on two first half goals, including one in the first five minutes,
the Bluejays would find the back of the net off the foot of senior Andy Adrian
(Buhler, Kan.) with just under four minutes to play to cut the Falcons lead to
one.
Tabor
would continue to apply pressure looking for the game-tying goal but it was not
to be as Friends held on for the victory.
Senior
goalkeepers Aaron Schmucker (Inman, Kan.) and David Fleming (Jonesboro, Ga.)
both split time in goal for the Bluejays, as Friends out-shot Tabor 13-8 for the
match.
Tabor
(3-3 KCAC, 6-8-1 Overall) will travel to take on Sterling College in Sterling
Kan. Saturday Oct. 24, at 1 p.m.
