Hillsboro, Kan. -
After starting the season with two impressive road victories the Tabor College
Men's Soccer Team dropped its second straight match Tuesday night in Manhattan, Kan. as the
Bluejays fell to Manhattan
Christian College
by the score of 6-3.
Tabor started off fast as sophomore Marcos Bandeira (Porto
Alegre, Brazil) and senior Andy Adrian (Buhler, Kan.) each added a goal in the
first half to give the Bluejays and early 2-0, lead. The Crusaders would answer
with two goals of their own later in the half to knot the score at two apiece
heading into the break.
Manhattan Christian's offense would pick up where it left
off in the second half, as the Crusaders would score four unanswered goals on
their way to a 6-2, second half lead. Senior Dallas Pruitt (McPherson, Kan.)
would tack on a goal late in the match to cut the lead to 6-3, but it was too
little to late for the Bluejays.
Tabor (2-2 Overall) will return home to host Oklahoma
Baptist University (Shawnee, Okla.), Friday Sept. 18th, at 3 p.m. in
its home opener at the brand new Joel H. Wiens Stadium.
