Hillsboro, Kan. - Hutchinson Community College transfer Clinton Stein (Spearville, Kan.) has signed a letter of intent to play football this season for the Bluejays.

Stein, a 6-0, 210-pound punter, will be looked at to provide an immediate impact to the punting and kicking game and help strengthen the Bluejays special teams this season.

During his high school career, Stein was a two-time All-State kicker, and All-League punter, and an All-League defensive end.

He helped lead Hutchinson Community College to the conference title game as the Blue Dragons starting punter where he recorded eight punts of 50-plus yards including a long of 65 yards during the 2008 season.

Stein has also excelled in the classroom as two-time All-Academic selection and a member of Dean's and President's Honor Roll.

"Clinton is a quality Kansas football player," said Head Football Coach Mike Gottsch. "His ability as a punter has helped us solidify our special teams for the upcoming season. His experiences at Hutchinson Community College have positioned him to have an outstanding career here at Tabor College."

Clinton is the son of Ron Stein and Barb Brenner.
