Hillsboro, Kan. - Pratt Community College transfer Jonathan Murray (Wichita, Kan.) has signed a letter of intent to play Baseball next season for the Bluejays.
Murray, a 6-0, 150-pound pitcher, will be counted on to provide immediate help, experience, and depth to the Bluejays' starting pitching rotation next season.
While at Pratt Community College, Murray recorded a record of 2-2, with a 7.3
ERA. Murray played his high school ball at Campus High School
(Haysville, Kan), where he went 7-0 with an ERA of 1.30.
He was named All-Metro and All-AVCT First Team as both a pitcher and an
outfielder.
"Jonathan has the ability to come in and be our number one pitcher," said Head Baseball Coach Mark Standiford. "He has a fastball in the upper 80's to low 90's, and he also has a curve, slider, and a change up all of which he can throw for a strike. I am excited to have a pitcher the caliber of Jonathan and am looking forward to having him here in the fall."
Jonathan is the son of Ron and Connie Murray.
