Hillsboro, Kan. - Goddard High School graduate Nathan Rausch (Wichita, Kan.) has signed a letter of intent to play baseball next season for Tabor College.
Rausch, a 6-2, 185-pound utility player, will be looked at to provide an immediate impact both offensively and defensively next season for the Bluejays
While at Goddard High School, Rausch earned First Team All-League honors as a utility player and First Team All-State honors as a first baseman in 2009.
During his four year high school career, Rausch helped lead the Lions to four consecutive league and regional titles including a third place finish at the Class 6A Kansas State High Baseball Tournament with a record of 22-3 during his senior season.
"Nathan is the true definition of a utility player," said Head Baseball Coach Mark Standiford. "He brings flexibility to our program like no other player has. He is strong off of the mound, and can play all four infield positions as well as all of the outfield positions.
"Nathan has the ability to hit for both power and average and will provide an immediate impact to our offense next year," Standiford added. "I am excited that he chose to become a Bluejays and I look forward to his arrival on campus this fall."
Nathan is the son of Neil and Rose Rausch.
