David Simmet (Mainz, Germany) Signs His Letter of Intent to Play Soccer and Tennis at Tabor College

Hillsboro, Kan. - Theresianum Mainz High School graduate David Simmet (Mainz, Germany) has signed a letter of intent to play soccer and tennis next season for the Bluejays.

Simmet, a 5-11, 160-pound midfielder and forward, was named team captain as he led his team in scoring and assists during both the 2007 and 2008 seasons. He will be looked at to provide immediate offensive help, while adding depth at both positions next year for the Bluejays.

"David will bring immediate help to our attack next fall," said Head Men's Soccer Coach Grant Brubacher. "His ability to create and score will help replace graduated players. I am excited to have David join us at Tabor College."

David is the son of Michael Simmet and Petra Fischer.
