David Simmet (Mainz, Germany) Signs to Play Tennis and Soccer at Tabor College Next Seson

Hillsboro, Kan. - Theresianum Mainz High School graduate David Simmet (Mainz, Germany) has signed a letter of intent to play tennis and soccer next season for Tabor College.


Simmet, a 5'11, 160-pound singles and doubles player, was named MVP and Team Captain during the 2006-2007 tennis seasons for his team. He was also named First Team All District in singles, and Academic All-District.


He was also a regional qualifier in doubles and helped lead his school to the regional tournament for the first time in school history.


"We are extremely excited that David has chosen Tabor College to continue his education and tennis career," said Head Men's Tennis Coach Michael Hagen. "He will definitely add some depth to our roster, and I'm sure he will transfer that success he had in high school to the college level."


David is the son of Michael Simmet and Petra Fischer.
