Hillsboro, Kan. - Walsh High School graduate Destinee Cogburn (Walsh, Colo.) has signed a letter of intent to compete in track and field next season for Tabor College.

Cogburn, a 5-4, high jumper, set the Walsh High School high jump record with a jump of 5'3", and the long jump record with a jump of 16'3 3/4. She will be looked at to make an immediate impact in the jumps next season for the Lady Jays.

She has also excelled in the classroom as a member of the National Honor Society and Student Council.

"I am excited about Destinee's athleticism and the number of events she will make a positive impact in for our women's team," said Head Women's Track and Field Coach Dave Kroeker. "Not only will she score for us in the jumps but she has the potential to help us in relays as well. She is a fine student and will make a very positive impact on our campus as well."

Destinee is the daughter of Mitch and Pam Cogburn.
