Hillsboro, Kan. - Walsh High School
graduate Destinee Cogburn (Walsh, Colo.) has signed a letter of intent to compete in track
and field next season for Tabor
College.
Cogburn, a 5-4, high jumper, set the Walsh High School
high jump record with a jump of 5'3", and the long jump record with a jump of
16'3 3/4. She will be looked at to make an immediate impact in the jumps next
season for the Lady Jays.
She has also excelled in the classroom as a member of the
National Honor Society and Student Council.
"I am excited about Destinee's athleticism and the number of
events she will make a positive impact in for our women's team," said Head
Women's Track and Field Coach Dave Kroeker. "Not only will she score for us in
the jumps but she has the potential to help us in relays as well. She is a fine
student and will make a very positive impact on our campus as well."
Destinee is the daughter of Mitch and Pam Cogburn.
