Men's Tennis - Thu, May 14, 2009

Hillsboro, Kan. - Tabor College senior tennis player Chad Gayer (McPherson, Kan.) has been named Second Team All-Conference by the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference.

"Chad had an awesome senior year, capped off by being named Second Team All-KCAC," said Head Men's Tennis Coach Michael Hagen."Chad played number one singles all year, as well as number three doubles alongside junior Andy Adrian (Buhler, Kan). Not only did Chad play extremely well all season, he had to go up against the other team's best individual player each match."

During the individual KCAC tournament, Gayer's only losses came were to Bethel's number one and Bethany's number one players, who were both First Team All-KCAC selections.

"Chad and Andy were very reliable holding down that number three doubles position," Said Hagen. "He was given the KCAC Sportsmanship Award, which shows his composure on the court, and how liked he is around the conference. I'm proud of Chad's accomplishments this season and he will be greatly missed next season."
