Amber Johnson (Hubbard, Texas) Signs Her Letter of Intent to Compete in Track and Field Next Season for Tabor College

Hillsboro, Kan. - Hubbard High School senior Amber Johnson (Hubbard, Texas) has signed a letter of intent to compete in track and field next season for Tabor College.


Johnson, a 5-3, sprinter and long jumper, competed in the 100 meter dash, the long jump, and was part of the 4 x 100 meter and 4 x 400 meter relay teams at Hubbard High School.


During her high school career Johnson helped lead her team to the 2006 Class 1A State Title and was part of the school record 4 x 100 meter and 4 x 200 meter relay teams.


"Amber will help our women's team in the sprints, hurdles, and relays," said Head Women's Track and Field Coach Dave Kroeker. "I am excited to have her on our team and she will be a very positive addition to our campus as well."


Amber is the daughter of Billy Smith and Faye Johnson.
