Hillsboro, Kan. - Hillsboro High School senior Michael Klaassen (Hillsboro, Kan.) has signed a letter of intent to compete in track and field next season for the Bluejays.

Klaassen, a 6-4, 220-pound thrower, will compete in the discus, the shot put, and the hammer throw next season for the Bluejays. He has also excelled in the classroom as a four-year member of the honor roll while at Hillsboro High School.

"Michael is an excellent Tabor fit who will really make a positive impact on our campus," said Head Track Coach Dave Kroeker. "As a thrower, I believe he has the potential to really help our men's track team in the future, especially as he concentrates on the hammer along with the shot and discus."

Michael is the son of Milford and Janell Klaassen.
