- The last indoor track meet of the 2009 indoor season produced another
national qualifier for the Tabor Bluejays Track and Field Team. Sophomore Justin
Ball (Welda, Kan.), qualified in the 600m run with a time
of 1:14.12. Junior Kelli Kopper (Cimmaron,
Kan.) also ran well and improved
her "B" standard qualifying time to an "A" standard in the 600m with a time of
1:29.39.
Other
track and field athletes that competed at Kansas
State include Christina Addison (Valley Center, Kan.),
Jessica Burden (Little Elm, Texas), ShaRae Wadel (Greensburg, Kan.), Breanna
Wray (Campo, Colo.), Samantha Van Ranken (Medicine Lodge, Kan.). Men's
competitors include Jordan Stahl (Yale, S.D.), Sean Monks (Limon, Colo.), Noah Collins (Brighton,
Colo.), Brent Nelsen (Peyton,
Colo.), Ric Johnson (Hillsboro,
Kan.), Matt Spurgeon (Wichita,
Kan.), Brad Kiser (Delphos,
Kan.), Aaron Munsch (Great
Bend, Kan.), Matt Fox (Council Grove, Kan.),
Richard Snyder (Warren, Ore.),
Adam Dirks (Hillsboro, Kan.).
The
Bluejays will send three competitors to Johnson City,
Tenn., March,
5-7, to the NAIA Indoor National Championships.
Along with Ball and Kopper, senior Breanna Wray will compete in the 20
weight throw and the shot put.
