
Hillsboro, Kan. - The Tabor College volleyball team continued its impressive winning streak Tuesday, defeating the visiting University of St. Mary for the third time this season, (20-25, 28-26, 25-17, 25-16) in four games.
The win was the ninth straight for the Bluejays. More importantly it secured a spot in the semifinals of the KCAC tournament.
The Bluejays now will travel to Bethel College in North Newton to take on Bethany College, at 5 p.m., Friday, Nov. 14.
Against St. Mary the Bluejays were led offensively by freshman Gina Hullet (Abilene, Kan.), with 12 kills. Sophomore Jordan Crosson (Minneapolis, Kan.), added 11 kills, while junior Ashley Cohlmia (Wichita, Kan.), chipped in with eight kills.
Audrey Schellenberg (Wichita, Kan.) continued her impressive play, as she dished out 42 assists to help the Bluejays attack, while also chipping in on the defensive side with 12 digs.
Cohlmia, and junior Audra Atwell (Delphos, Kan.), also helped lead a strong defensive effort, as they combined for 29 digs in the match.
The victory brings the team's record to 16-14 overall.
