Watch Media Day Comments

 

Salina, Kan. – The 2011 Tabor College Football Team was picked to finish seventh by the coaches and sixth by the media at the annual Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) football media day held at the Salina Country Club in Salina, Kan.

 

Votes for the preseason polls were compiled after each of the ten conference schools presented a preseason outlook to both the coaches and the media.

 

Ottawa University was pegged in both polls as the conference favorite with nine, first-place votes in the coaches' poll and 15, first-place votes in the media poll.

 

Tabor, finished the 2011 season with a record of 2-7 in KCAC play and 3-6 overall in Coach Gardner's second season returning as head coach of the Bluejays. The 2012 season is set to begin Saturday, Aug. 25 in Muskogee, Okla. as the Bluejays take on Bacone College. Kickoff for the game is set for 7 p.m.  The Bluejays will open conference play beginning Saturday Sept. 8, vs., Sterling College in their home opener, before returning back to nonconference against visiting Haskell Indian Nations University Saturday, Sept. 15.
