Hillsboro, Kan. - The Tabor College Men's Cross Country Team finished 16^th out of 20 teams at Saturday's Southwestern College /NAIA Mid-States Classic in Winfield, Kan.

‘We had a great day of racing," said Head Coach Karol Hunt. "The Mid-States meet is highly competitive and it creates a good environment for season best and personal record times.

"Today was our last race prior to conference," Hunt added. "We passed the preparation test, setting four personal records on one day is a real tribute to the efforts of the runners."

Senior Zac Remboldt (Topeka, Kan.), led the Bluejays, finishing 76^th out of 204 runners with his season best time of 27:54.

Sophomore Zach Gould (Sioux City, Iowa) ran 28:11 and junior Ric Johnson ran 28:52 both turning in personal record performances. Junior Dan Sigley (Cheney, Wash.); ran 28:22 (a season best) and sophomore Justin Ball (Welda, Kan.), ran 30:43, tying his season best.

"The men had an exceptional day with the top four running in the 27s and 28s," said Hunt. "That's a reflection of their hard work and determination."

The Tabor College Men's Cross Country Team will compete in the KCAC Conference meet hosted by Bethany College at the Lindsborg Golf Course at 11:15 a.m. Saturday Nov. 8. This will also be the qualifier for the NAIA national meet.
